I'm a plus size girl, and I want a halloween costume that's feminine, but not slutty or revealing. Any suggestions on where to find something like this?
I live in los angeles. I wen't down hollywood already and couldn't find them. I need them for my halloween costume. I have 1 1/2 more to find them. I looked online already and they have them, but shipping cost more than the glasses. So, i wanted to know if there is a store where they have them.
I want to buy a halloween costume online but I am having trouble with the sizing chart. My measurements are 44, 43, 44 (Yes I am a thick girl lol) So I was going to get a plus size 1x/2x and the size chart says it fits:
bust 40-48
waist 36-40
hips 42-48
So it would all fit except the waist part is a little too small, but if I wanted to get the next size up the measurements are:
bust 48-54
waist 40-44
hips 50-56
So the only part that would fit would be the waist and the rest would be too big. What should I do? What size would you reccommend?

I recently bought these big brown feather eyelashes from a vintage type store...and I want to use them in this year's halloween costume, but i'm not sure what costume would require them. Any suggestions would be great. Someone said a flapper...kind of over that. All I have is a bird so far...haha or Edie Sedgwick? She was pretty ferosh. Thanks

The costume measurements include: bust, hip, and waist measurements.
I took my waist measurement and got a 37" waist measurement
Is this accurate?
* I weigh 168lbs and am 5'8" [3lbs overweight].
* I measured at the top of the hip bone, near belly button, for waist.
* I wear a size 14 or size 16 in jean size.
Please provide any pointers on waist measurements.
SIze 14/16 would be an extra large. However, 37" waist does not fall there. Do I really need a plus size costume or am I just measuring wrong?
Prob. end up trying a different store..cuz it skips me... like normal cop costume too small and plus too big.
Searching for the perfect halloween costume. I am a guy looking for a vintage fortune teller/spirit medium/seance/magician costume. Want something similar to the old black and white photographs you see from the 20s. Nothing cheesy like robes with stars on it or anything like that. I want something realistic. Anyone know of any websites that have something like this?

I've done almost every general halloween costume there is. I've done the vampire, witch, all that sort of thing. I would really like to be able to do a costume that is actually meant to be a plus size woman for a change, so any ideas would be welcome.
I am starting to plan my Halloween costume and I think that I want to be a green absinth fairy. Does anyone have a good costume idea for me and know of any good vintage clothing stores in NYC to buy costume pieces from? I was thinking of using a green top hat, bustier, wings and flowy skirt. I would love to hear some other suggestions.
